Here's by Espo Despo, actualy an abbreviation of Esperanto Desperado already quite present in our catalog with BroKantajoj (Vkkd34) and Hotel Desperado (Vkkd72).

This album is the fruit of almost three years of experimenting with sounds, rhythms, texts, and melodies. Four friends, Amir, Karl, and Laurent, enforced a bit later by Andrzej, actual members of Espo Despo, have been preparing the CD since late 2005, slowly but with persistance and enthusiasm. They made several versions of each song, before the arrangements, the recording, the mixing, and the mastering were finished - and only so when the result had reached a quality that satisfied everyone. This explains the albums long time coming, made with attention, pleasure, desire, love, and hope.

The lyrics deal with life, love, errors, desperation, misery around the world, happiness and suffering, meaningless and pitiless war, destiny and liberty, the stars and the sea and human dilemmas and hope. These texts are written by several authors, among which the classical poets Adam Mickiewicz, Nikolai Kurzens, and Poul Thorsen.

Musically the songs are very diversified, with an Afro-European 'world music' touch, elements of pop, rock, and sometimes even jazz. The Espo Despo four, starting from musically original ideas, rich texts, and suggestive voices, have succeeded in unifying a genre of their own and creating a very distinctive style.

Several guest musicians contributed to the project, among them Alejandra Cossavella (Ale) and Jean-Marc Leclercq (JoMo), who recorded their great voices in one song each. Also to be heard, the trumpette of David-Emil Wickström, Emir Bosnjaks' accordeon, and guitar by Dino Pehilj.

As a premier in Esperantio, this album was released on the Web through downloading platforms without labeled production. The physical album is burned in small quantities by the group itself, and distributed through the Vinilkosmo catalog.
