Our full catalogue

Dear reader, hello !

Long periods of silence seem to be an integral component of the sound of Esperanto music, still in search of its identity, always stepping back a bit in order to leap a little higher towards the popularity it deserves !

In addition to the near or confirmed come-backs of artists who seemed to have disappeared from the scene, two more completely new trends come as quite a surprise, just on time to celebrate the return of the sun and the swallows ; -)

Dolchamar live and kickin'

Well known Finnish Esperanto hip hop group, Dolchamar, is still going strong ! The Finnish and international music press cover their tours and (barely) surprising success.

In April they sold out a concert in the Jyväskylä rock'n'roll club, then another occurred under the same conditions on May 13 in Helsinki. They will be performing for, at least, two festivals this summer :

- "Melu 2004" (Noise 2004) - 24/07 in Kirkkonummi/Masala (near Helsinki).

- "Faces Festival" from 30/7 through 1/8 2004 in Karjaa/Billnäs.

Dolchamar is scheduled to play at the top of the Finnish "Faces" ethno-musical festival organized around themes such as peace, cultural plurality, antiracism and more. They will present a very diversified program including curiosities such as Cuban hiphop and more traditional, so to say, Esperanto rock'n'roll.

Young Esperanto music lovers attending the World Youth Congress in Saint-Petersbourg (Russia) will certainly enjoy Dolchamar there too.

And don't miss KEF 2005 (Kultura Esperanto-Festivalo) if you can make it, in Helsinki again too !

Inicialoj CD (Initials CD)

Ex-member of French "Lolita", Eric Languillat, currently living in Frankfurt (Germany) presents "Inicialoj CD" a mikro-pop-sugar group with Esperanto lyrics.

CD stands for "Dale Cooper", the man who tries to elucidate the murder of Laura Palmer in "Twin Peaks".

This is electro-pop (really), and no surprise it's made mainly with synthesizers, but voices and guitars can be heard too.

In Germany there's a movement called "wohnzimmer pop" and the groups sometimes even play private concerts in peoples apartments (!) and Eric feels rather close to this.

He has already released a first French album called "Initials CD" under Miss King Records.

Initials CD played in Mainz on April 30, 2004 for the Gummipop festival.

Now, Eric is seriously thinking of publishing an album in Esperanto. He already prepared a 7 track demo with evocative titles such as : Angxelika, Anna, Dimancxaj fotoj, pri Lauxra Micrometer caliper, Pufmaizo & kokakolao, cxie virinoj, etc...

Eterne Rima - Revival

After a very long (esperantic) silence Eterne Rima is intensively preparing a new album.

In 2006, band leader Igor is planning to leave Poland for Japan, and before he does, he wishes to publish an Eterne Rima (hip hop) album and one by Lunatiko (Techno-Dance) ..

On the Eterne Rima website, you may listen to samples of some of their hip hop, drawn from a first album demo "Por miaj gefratoj" (with my brothers and sisters). This album was only diffused within a rather restricted circle.

Igor has also decided to give away all his older work and projects.

On the following site you will find files of various projects in which Igor took part :

Esperanto Desperado under seal !

Esperanto Desperado started to record a new CD.

Two titles had already been recorded in December, and, beginning of March, the group returned to the studio hoping to record 10 to 15 titles.

During the recording, at the end of the second day, the police put the studio under seal and sequestered all the equipment, including that of the group ! The studio is part of the famous "Christiana" on the small island of Copenhagen which was closed down for reasons yet to determine ..

Esperanto Desperado seems a bit discouraged by all this, and has not been able to retrieve their equipment nor the existing recordings ...

This unfortunate adventure will, at least, delay the new Esperanto Desperado album in which Jomo from Toulouse (France) and Martin from the Stockholm group "Persone" were also expected to sing as guests.

We hope to have better news about this for our next letter.

Still missing an authorization out of five to finally be able to publish the "Mi estas" album. We hope this last permission for the song "revenas mi" (I'm coming home by Jean Pierre Ferland) will be granted during the summer, and Jxak's album be out at last.

Morice Benin sings Léo Ferré

Morice Benin has launched the marvellous project to sing and play a selection of songs by very famous French Léo Ferré in Esperanto.

Several translations have already been carried out by a team of translators, and all people interested can see how the work is evolving on the site prepared for this purpose by Roel Haveman :

Make your remarks or take part in the translations if you're able and willing ?

Thank you for your interest and attention.
