Official release of IVIDUB's first digital single in Esperanto, La nep' de la sun', 6 July 2026.
IVIDUB and VINILKOSMO share a long history and collaboration spanning 20 years.
Ivi (Ivimages) discovered music in Esperanto while creating the first video session for the album JoMo Slavumas while recording at Studio de la Trappe with Vinilkosmo in Donneville in 2006. He then went on to work on other video and graphic projects for CD covers and booklets produced or co-produced by the Vinilkosmo label.
Alongside his visual work related to music, Ivi leads his musical project IVIDUB with Morine, performing as a three-piece electronic band or as a seven-piece full band.
While preparing their new album, Ivi and Morine naturally suggested trying to sing a song in Esperanto, that resonates with the subject matter (immigration and tolerance) and the spirit of Esperanto (the international language).
With the collaboration of Giuseppe Castelli, who translated, adapted, and assisted Morine with the vocals for the song “La nep’ de la sun’”, one of the standout tracks on IVIDUB’s new album, Un goût de liberté (A taste of freedom).
This collaboration between IVIDUB and Vinilkosmo resulted, by mutual agreement, in a two-track single featuring the song in Esperanto, as well as a dub remix of “La nep’ de la sun’”.
The French version appears on IVIDUB’s third album, Un goût de liberté, which we highly recommend. The CD and digital versions will be available on June 28, 2026, and the vinyl version will be released in October/November.
